Before I moved to the CLT, I was in the 'burg and one trip one winter

to come to CLT was heavy enough snow, I put chains on my tires. When I got to Fancy Gap, VA State Police were escorting small groups of cars, one group at a time, down the mountain. They had everyone stay in-line in one set of tracks that had been made by previous cars. It was treacherous and exciting and only when I got to the bottom did I realize how thoroughly idiotic I had been.
